Embodying Fashion

Trench Coat Selfie

When the moon transits Taurus it is common for me to think about fashion; however it’s Pisces season so I don’t have the urge to shop for personal shopping intent. I want to dress for a photo shoot or dress someone else for one while I take the photographs. It’s more about projecting ones beauty and how it can tell a story on the screen with the outfit acting as an assistant; supporting cast if you will.

Thinking about breaking into the fashion industry causes anxiety sometimes because of how I view brands that are already so big. Higher education however has shown me that everything is not always what it seems; in fact, some name brands are risking bankruptcy if some investors do not come save them. I am not marveling at another’s demise, really it heightens the nervousness from beginning when an entity you thought too big to fail crumbles. I don’t wish that on no business man or woman, but it doesn’t mean enough to shake my confidence. Call me crazy but there’s something about being in the red thousands of dollars that makes you still believe you can turn everything around once everything aligns correctly. The Mercury retrograde has inspired me to comb through photos of my hand made high end fashions modeled by some fine women I’ve met over the past few years and I must say; win, lose, or draw it’s been worth it already. Besides, it’s just a hobby that looks bigger than it is once slapped on Instagram, and a link to an Etsy store can swiftly turn the tide from hobby to serious. How far I will I take it? I’ll let time tell you because I’m more of a doer, but ladies check out these cool fashion tricks for sporting trench coats by Kimberly Crandall. They’re impressive and although I can’t use them it still made me think of all the trench coats I have which caused me to pull this photo out my archives. Scale the side of the blog to find her photo which will bring you to her linktree that will direct you to her magnificent closet of fashion offers as well. Also, stream the soundtrack to Digital Dash (Women Don’t Wear Bra’s in Heartland) on YouTube before the short film is released.

It’s much too long for a short; however, I thought I’d release some stored up music that could closely resemble my mindset when putting the film together and writing The Mystical Adventures of Dick E. Bunz.
