A Message to Move Stillness

The Stellar Guide

In the middle of a pandemic, my curiosity led me to test the waters of journalism. Inside my home, everything I needed was there, but I kept feeding my daredevil mentality to bring my subscribers my latest astrological epiphanies. It wasn’t until a powerful message from my close friend Kimberly Crandall came across my feed that I truly understood how much of a risk I was. Just because one is fortunate enough to have health doesn’t mean they have a pass to breathe on everybody while others don’t. A mere brush up against the elderly or a child can turn into a bad situation, even more if they have a health complication. People are really dying out here! Perhaps mass media and the term fake news has made some of us desensitized to the atrocities, or we’ve just become in outright disbelief of the Corona virus, but when real tears come across your screen out of sincere love and concern for humanity, it hits different. Kimberly took her heartfelt take on things to her audience in hopes that at least one person could come to grips with our current reality and take the responsible precautions. She mentioned how some people are actually taking this time to go to the beach and party under the sun, and one thing I know about virus’ is symptoms can lay dormant in the heat, but become revealed in some of the harsher climates like here in New York’s still frigid weather.

Then came a common accusation in the film world. Kimberly was accused of being a rich & entitled actress, not knowing she is surviving check to check like a lot of us. Where do you think the term ‘starving artist’ derives from? I remember the first time I placed an ad on IMDb, I was shocked by the number of actresses who came forward despite me presenting such a tight budget! I’m not sure how many attacks she’s accumulated by now, but all I can ask is that to not get caught up in her red carpet walks and film appearances, but see her as an artist that provides products & services the way any other profession does. In the bigger scheme of things, it’s more courageous to voice things outside your profession when you’re a celebrity because not only are there more eyes and ears on you, the pendulum can swing both ways for societal perception.

The only reason I am outside uploading this post is because I have other work today that requires stepping out my house for a while. Other than that Kimberly has kept me in the house with all my highly appreciated stocked goods and paid rent writing a book with no television or internet. The most profound revelations are coming to me due to my needed alterations making me appreciate all I already have! In the process every comment, sale and subscribe means so much more because it’s no longer instantly at my fingertips. For those in professions that this doesn’t apply, let it fly. My hat goes off to all in the medical and travel industries who are obligated to face this thing head on. I think I’ve done enough reporting on what’s going on in these cold gritty New York urban areas to bring awareness until this thing blows over. If you also find the bravery to voice your concerns for humanity online at this time like Kimberly go for it. If you can turn one person toward safety and health you’ve made an impact beyond what I can measure.
